About Theresa Harrison

Ms. Harrison graduated from UCSD with degrees in English and biology, then attended UCLA for her teaching credentials and CSUMB for her M.S. in Technology. Teaching at different times either in the sciences, such as biology, chemistry, or physiology/anatomy, or in English, Ms. Harrison worked for over 35 years in public high schools, including at John Steinbeck’s alma mater, Salinas High. During the years when she was teaching the sciences, she missed the creativity, discussions, and interactions of the English classes; while teaching English classes meant she missed the labs, the problem solving, and the experimentation.

Just as choosing between two non-contiguous fields of both English and biology, Ms. Harrison’s entire life has been a dichotomy of choices.
